At Creggs National School we are proud to be the holders of a 4th Green Flag awarded to us recently in recognition of our commitment to the environment. We have been highlighting and working on environmental themes since our first introduction to the Project by the Environmental Education Officer at Galway County Council. Since 1999 we have been working on themes such as litter / waste management / composting / energy awareness / recycling and the segregation of waste materials / as well as water conservation. We are proud of our association with the County Council and An Taisce for the Green Schools Award. We are one of the few schools in County Galway to be at the stage of having gained a 4th Green Flag for our commitment to the environment and "Green" issues so we celebrate our "Greeness" and encourage all to continue to "Keep it Green it's worth the Dream"
